I've tasted a few kinds of Matcha so far, but I have to say - the Matsu Ceremonial Matcha is the Best in every direction! From the packaging itself to its taste, aroma and texture - simply topnotch product! OK It is a little bit pricey, but still worth the extra money! Recommended!
I have tried other matcha before and have not been satisfied with the quality, until I found Meiko Ceremonial Matcha. I use it every day in either a chia seed pudding or a Matcha latte! I love that Matchaeologist shares recipes and I hope to try them soon!
Thank you again and I couldn’t be happier with your product! 🖤🍵
We are using this matcha predominantly for our matcha lattes and also for cakes etc. For our lattes the midori makes a super smooth, bright and creamy matcha latte that works particularly well with oat milk producing a an even pastel green milk drink. Very happy with the quality and taste of this matcha which works very well in our flagship cafe.
This Katakuchi bowl is so much roomier than my normal bowl so no spilling and I could whisk like crazy!! 😂😂
It's a matcha like no other. I definitely can taste the umami feature after swishing it around in my mouth. It's a bit bitter upon brewing in hot water (which is normal) and I start tasting the caramel feature whenever I make a latte version and it also doesn't taste as bitter (which is normal). Upon drinking it, I definitely feel the benefits of it working. It boost my mood to 110%, I feel very happy for no reason (I'm not complaining), I also feel more relaxed and I get enough energy for the rest of my day. It's a matcha I cannot get enough of. I'm absolutely in love with it.
I was impressed with matsu save for the color, so my expectations for this one are definitely higher. Gorgeous color! Just what I was hoping. That luscious emerald/jade green. Slightly chocolatey aroma. Very soft to the touch. Likewise with the liquid, a serene green appearance. As I poured in more water a unique marine aroma drifted up to my nose. Wish I could explain it but it was gone so quickly. Silky mouth feel. That slightly marine flavor came back again; it's almost fishy in flavor but it comes and goes so quickly. Do not worry though as strange as it is I've only had the sensation a few times in the many sips I've taken. Maybe it's me? Regardless, if you like umami this has a wonderful umami undertone to it. Slightly grassy, no astringency.
The flavour, the colour and the smell were so mesmerising and on point that I ordered another one and received it yesterday. Need I say more?
Long waited gift for myself. Thank you for this amazing product. In love with brewing matcha and especially the cup, from which I enjoy my matcha
So I've been using my glass katakuchi bowl for the last couple of weeks, and I have to say it is probably one of the best purchases I have ever made. The bowl itself is incredibly lightweight yet feels extremely sturdy, when whisking matcha the whisk just glides over the glass without any resistance (I noticed my previous stone chawan had some resistance which would wear the whisk down eventually) and the fact that it's made of pure glass means I can actually see the colour of the matcha while I'm brewing it. I also absolutely love the way they've added the handhold around the middle - it makes it incredibly easy to pour the matcha one-handed into a smaller cup for drinking, and the whole bowl just looks absolutely beautiful.
All in all, I don't think I have ever seen such a beautiful chawan before - it's definitely made brewing matcha a lot easier and I'd recommend it to any and all matcha enthusiasts! :)
PERFECTION is the one word that best describes my experience with Matchaelogist! Will defo come back for more...sooon! ;)
PS: In the picture, I made matcha tiramisu with Meiko Matcha. YUM!
Just by using a tiny amount of matcha powder, it empowers the drink so much. I use it for my matcha drinks that include shots of espresso; some times when I put too much matcha powder it becomes too overpowering, but if you eventually figure out the right amount, you'll be more likely to drink at home that go out. The powder also blends extremely well when using a whisk. Will continue to buy this range as it is very worth it.
Also suitable for non dairy matcha lattes.
at bellissimo Venice California we proud to work with a company who take the green tea Matcha to the next level its not only the highest quality it's the taste and the aroma. way to go my Japanese friend . good customer service !
I have just cooked my Super Matcha Cheese Cake... and it is so perfect... that I need to make another !
I have tried all three premium matcha teas . Hands down Meiko has the smoothest yet most complex flavours. And Meiko is (decadent yet) yet divine in desserts( image cocoa butter matcha tartelettes) Alas, it has increased 2x this year in the kilo price, so if looking to stay within budget then I recommend Midori .Whilst less complex ,it has a wonderful slightly alkaline flavour that tickles the back of the throat and makes me smile. Meiko is wonderful tea as are all three( rhyme unintended) :-)
Have been purchasing this grade for a few months now. I use it in my matcha latte every morning. Totally recommended!
This is the first time that I decided to purchase the 100g size of Meiko because I was reluctant whether I will finish them all. Ended up finishing this tin in less than 3 weeks! Great product as always. Will order more for sure!
We’ve been using Midori for a year now at our cafe in San Francisco Bay Area. Excellent quality, really potent and smooth to use as a latte base, stand-alone or matcha based products. Very well received by our customers!
I purchased the Katakuchi bowl with my matcha brewing kit. Making my tea is truly a ritual with these pieces. I enjoy the experience making it almost as much as drinking it! I love it all!!
